Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has stated that the overall fuel availability situation in the country is satisfactory, assuring that there is no immediate cause for concern among the public. He emphasized that the government is closely monitoring the situation.
A meeting of the cabinet committee on petroleum product monitoring was held under the chairmanship of the finance minister, where officials briefed that all fuel requirements for the month of March have been fully secured, while planning has already been completed to ensure supply for April.
During the meeting, it was also shared that efforts are underway to explore additional supply sources from the international market in order to prevent any potential shortages in the future.
On this occasion, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb urged the public to avoid panic buying or unnecessary hoarding, stating that there is no need for such actions given the current situation.
Meanwhile, the secretary of petroleum warned that LNG will not be available in the country after April 14, which may result in the inability to fully meet the gas requirements of the power sector during April.
