The federal government has challenged the court’s decision to make public the details of Toshakhana. Lahore High Court had ordered the government to make public the details of Toshakhana from 1990 to 2001.
The federal government has filed an appeal through the Additional Attorney General, and the appeal will be heard by a bench comprising Justice Shahid Bilal Hassan and Justice Raza Qureshi.
In the written verdict issued on March 23 by a single bench of Lahore High Court, the government was ordered to make public the record of Toshakhana along with the names within seven days, as per the certified copy of the court’s order.
