Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has arrived in Saudi Arabia, accompanied by senior vice president of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Maryam Nawaz.
The leaders of the PML-N, including their leader and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, have reached Saudi Arabia from Dubai. On this occasion, his daughter and the party’s chief organizer, Maryam Nawaz, are also accompanying him.
Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz will perform Umrah during their stay in Makkah Mukarramah.
According to sources, the former Prime Minister will stay in Saudi Arabia for approximately two weeks. During this time, Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz will also have meetings with important Saudi personalities. Meetings with members of the Saudi royal family and other dignitaries are scheduled.
It is also expected that Nawaz Sharif will discuss exchange of ideas with Middle Eastern investors. According to the party sources, all the meetings have already been scheduled.
It should be noted that Nawaz Sharif, who has been residing in London for medical treatment for the past four years, had arrived in Dubai before Eid al-Adha. After his arrival there, Dubai became the center of Pakistani politics, where important meetings of the PML-N were held, discussing national politics and important decisions regarding future elections.
Nawaz Sharif and former President Asif Ali Zardari also had a meeting in Dubai, where they exchanged views on the practical political wisdom, economic issues, possible alliances, and matters related to elections in the future.
