Islamabad: A joint session of Parliament will be held today at 3 PM in the Parliament House. The entire country will observe “Quran Day” tomorrow.
The joint session of Parliament may approve a unanimous resolution against the desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden, while the entire country will observe “Quran Day” in this regard.
The Islamic Cooperation Organization (ICO) also held a meeting regarding the incident of desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden, chaired by Secretary-General Hussain Ibrahim Taha, who emphasized that all Islamic countries should take social and concrete measures to prevent incidents of blasphemy against the Holy Quran and the Prophet of Islam.
On the other hand, Pope Francis, the spiritual leader of the Catholic Christians, termed the incident of desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden as an unacceptable and blasphemous act in an interview with a UAE newspaper, stating that any condemnation of such acts is insufficient.
