In a prestigious ceremony held in Islamabad to mark the signing of memoranda of understanding between Pakistan and China, the Deputy Prime Minister of China participated. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif stated that a total of 25 billion rupees will be invested in various projects under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
A solemn ceremony of signing the Memorandum of Understanding between Pakistan and China was held in Islamabad.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chinese Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Ahsan Iqbal among others participated in the ceremony.
During the ceremony, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif welcomed the Chinese Deputy Prime Minister on his visit to Pakistan. He mentioned that the documents related to CPEC were signed ten years ago, and now, investments worth 25 billion rupees will be made in various projects under this corridor, strengthening the bond between the people of both countries.
Shahbaz Sharif said that CPEC was started during Nawaz Sharif’s era, the relationship between the people of both countries was strengthened by CPEC.
The Prime Minister also highlighted the importance of ML-1 and Karachi Circular Railway projects, emphasizing their significance for the nation.
Earlier, the Chinese Deputy Prime Minister had arrived in Pakistan for a three-day visit and was warmly welcomed at the Prime Minister’s House.
Cabinet members were introduced to the Chinese delegation.
Bilawal Bhutto, Rana Sanaullah, Ishaq Dar, Naveed Qamar, Ahsan Iqbal, Khawaja Saad Rafique, Maryam Aurangzeb and Hina Rabbani Khar were introduced to the Deputy Prime Minister.
Along with the Chinese Deputy Prime Minister, a high-level delegation from China is also present.
Federal Ministers Ahsan Iqbal, Rana Sanaullah and Tariq Fatemi welcomed the Chinese Deputy Prime Minister on his arrival in Pakistan.
