Same batsman, same bowler, same last over and same situation, i.e. 11 runs and 6 balls, Pakistani fast bowler Naseem Shah made history again as a batsman against Afghanistan.
In the second ODI against Afghanistan at Hambantota, Pakistan needed 11 runs from 6 balls, Fazal-ul-Haq Farooqi was the bowler and Naseem Shah stood in front, then the same thing happened which happened last year too i.e. Naseem played brilliant strokes on the bowling of Fazal and gave Pakistan victory by one wicket.
On September 7th of the previous year, a similar incident occurred during the Asia Cup T20 tournament. It was the last over, and there were 11 runs needed. The ball was in the hands of Fazal-ul-Haq Farooqi, and the bat was in Naseem’s hands, Naseem hit two sixes in two balls and made Pakistan victorious.
