In the National Assembly today, a unanimous resolution condemning the killing of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh was passed. Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar presented the resolution during the assembly session, which stated that over 40,000 Palestinians have been martyred due to Israeli atrocities. The resolution emphasized Pakistan’s opposition to all forms of terrorism and condemned Israeli actions.
The resolution expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people, offered condolences for Ismail Haniyeh’s martyrdom, and called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
It is noteworthy that the previous day, a funeral prayer for former Palestinian Prime Minister and Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh was conducted in Tehran, Iran.
On July 31, Ismail Haniyeh was martyred in an assassination attack in Tehran. Hamas confirmed his death and stated that Jewish agents were responsible for the attack, promising revenge. Iran has also warned Israel of severe consequences.
