Karachi: A bullish trend continues in the Pakistan Stock Exchange today, with the 100 Index reaching a new all-time high.
On Thursday, trading in the stock market began with an increase of 344 points, pushing the index to 117,352 points. Subsequently, the KSE 100 Index saw gradual gains of 960, 1,121, and 1,282 points.
After a 1,282-point increase, the index crossed the historic 118,000-point mark for the first time, reaching 118,220 points.
It is worth noting that yesterday, the Pakistan Stock Exchange’s 100 Index also surpassed a new all-time high. During the previous trading session, the 100 Index fluctuated within a band of 2,621 points but closed with a gain of 1,881 points at 117,008.
Meanwhile, at the start of trading today, the US dollar depreciated by 5 paisas in the interbank market. The dollar is currently trading at Rs. 278.50 in the interbank market.
