According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), during the implementation of sentences related to the May 9 incident, the convicts had filed petitions for mercy and pardon.
According to ISPR, these convicts are being released after completing the procedural formalities, while all other convicts still retain their rights to appeal and other legal remedies under the law and constitution.
