Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has stated that Pakistan’s economy is standing on its feet again, and the time will come when we will bid farewell to the IMF. The tax target for the next six months is clear to everyone. He mentioned that if everything is good, then we would be living in the fools’ paradise, and for economic development, he is ready to sit with everyone.
While addressing a ceremony at the Pakistan Stock Exchange in Karachi, he said that now we need to focus on growth, as economic stability has been achieved in the country. We need to fulfill our commitment to the IMF.
He added that there was a time when Karachi’s lights had gone out, but now they have returned, and Karachi holds a backbone position in the country’s economy.
Shehbaz Sharif also said that if everything is good, then we would be living in a fool’s paradise, and for economic growth, he is ready to work together with everyone.
He highlighted that the Udaan-e-Pakistan program will bring economic growth and social prosperity. Experienced economic experts should guide us to improve the economy.
The Prime Minister said that your vast experience could prove helpful in improving the country’s economy. Experts from Lahore, Quetta, Peshawar, and Karachi should provide suggestions and recommendations.
He mentioned that there is room for further reduction in the policy rate, and practical recommendations are needed to further improve the economy. Pakistan will remain strong forever, and we need to make it great.
Shehbaz Sharif noted that the increase in revenue is encouraging, and Pakistan has been blessed with billions of dollars worth of treasures by Allah. The private sector must play its role in improving the economy.
Earlier this morning, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Karachi for a one-day visit. He was welcomed at Faisal Base by Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori and Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.
