The leader of the Awami Muslim League and former Federal Interior Minister, Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed, has stated that the new year will be even tougher for everyone, and no major change is expected.
Speaking to the media outside the Anti-Terrorism Court, Sheikh Rasheed appealed to the powerful figures to forgive the poor, as their conditions are very dire. He added that the Judicial Commission would not be formed; the decision will be made by someone else, and it will be associated with the system of democracy.
He further said that the new year would be heavy for everyone, and those hoping for a major change in the coming year would be disappointed, as no such change would occur. “The grave is one, and there are not two but three dead,” he remarked, adding that previously he used to say two, but now he says three.
The former interior minister also mentioned that there is no relevance in what the Pakistan Peoples Party is saying, as no one is listening to them. He questioned how those who can’t even arrange prison visits would be able to bring about meaningful negotiations.
