In India, the Supreme Court has temporarily banned the shows of controversial YouTubers and podcasters Samay Raina, Ranveer Allahbadia, and Apoorva Mukhija.
According to Indian media, the Supreme Court made this decision during a joint hearing of FIRs registered against the YouTubers in various states, including Assam and Maharashtra.
The FIRs were filed after Ranveer Allahbadia made shameful remarks about his parents during a conversation on the show “India’s Got Talent,” hosted by Samay Raina and Apoorva Mukhija. The vulgar comments sparked outrage, with widespread criticism from the public and even citizens filing FIRs. The Supreme Court also reprimanded Ranveer Allahbadia and ordered all three to surrender their passports to the Mumbai police station.
The court further directed the YouTubers not to leave the country without prior permission. However, the court has granted them protection from arrest in connection with these FIRs, meaning the police cannot arrest them for now.
