Dubai: Pakistanis have established over 8,000 new companies in the United Arab Emirates within a year, making them the second highest in terms of new business ventures in 2024.
A total of 47,000 Pakistani business companies are registered in the UAE, while the Dubai Chamber of Commerce has registered over 16,500 companies owned by Indians.
Additionally, 5,500 new companies have been registered under the ownership of Egyptian citizens, and British citizens have registered more than 2,600 new companies.
Furthermore, 1,718 companies have been registered under Iraqi citizens’ names, while last year 1,314 companies were registered by Turkish citizens in the UAE.
Pakistani Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi told a private TV channel that the number of Pakistani investors in the UAE market is increasing, noting that more Pakistanis coming to do business in Dubai is beneficial for both countries, as increased investment will help send more remittances back to Pakistan.
