Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said that the issue of canals will be decided in today’s meeting of the Council of Common Interests (CCI). He informed that on the request of the Sindh government, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has convened the CCI meeting today instead of May 2.
In his statement, Sharjeel Memon further said that the Council of Common Interests (CCI) meeting will be held this evening in Islamabad under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Detailed discussions will be held on the canal issues during the meeting requested by Sindh, and a final resolution will be reached.
The Sindh Information Minister stated that concrete measures will be taken with the help and cooperation of the federal government to meet the agricultural needs of Sindh. Several important points regarding canal water have been presented by the Sindh government.
He mentioned that the issue of canals will be resolved following the meeting between Bilawal Bhutto and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah will represent Sindh in the meeting.
