Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar held a telephonic conversation with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, during which they discussed Pakistan-India tensions and the overall regional situation.
According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, Ishaq Dar briefed Wang Yi, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, on the regional situation.
During the conversation, both leaders jointly opposed unilateral actions and war-driven policies.
The spokesperson further stated that Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, while informing the Chinese Foreign Minister about the current regional situation, said that Pakistan rejects India’s illegal actions and propaganda against Pakistan.
Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining regional peace and stability. The parties emphasized promoting mutual respect and understanding and jointly opposing hegemonic policies.
Ishaq Dar appreciated China’s consistent and unwavering support for Pakistan. He reiterated Pakistan’s firm commitment to strong friendship with China and expressed the desire to further expand bilateral cooperation in all fields.
The Deputy Prime Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong commitment to the Pakistan-China friendship and partnership.
Both sides agreed to maintain communication to advance the shared goals of peace and sustainable development.
