In view of Pakistan-India tensions, it has been decided to temporarily close certain specified airspace zones within the Karachi and Lahore Flight Information Regions.
According to details, a specific section of the Lahore and Karachi FIR will remain closed for one month, and a NOTAM has been issued in this regard.
According to aviation sources, due to security concerns, these airspace zones will remain closed from May 1 to May 31. During this period, air traffic controllers will guide commercial flights to alternate routes to ensure flight schedules are not affected.
Officials clarified that this partial restriction will not impact flight operations, and all flights will continue as per routine.
