Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Barrister Gohar Ali has stated that if instructed by the PTI founder, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly will be dissolved.
Speaking to the media outside the judicial complex, Barrister Gohar said that the courts have disappointed them, but they still hope that justice for the PTI founder will come from somewhere through Allah’s will.
He remarked that the PTI founder is facing 300 cases and has already appeared in court 350 times before being jailed. Within five days, he was handed three sentences totaling 45 years of imprisonment.
Barrister Gohar further said that the PTI founder’s wife has also been sentenced and is not even being allowed books. Visits are being blocked in violation of the rules. He added that efforts were made to eliminate the PTI founder politically, but they failed.
He stated that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa budget has not yet been passed, and there are still some days left in the process. “This is the PTI founder’s assembly, and his vote matters. Whatever he instructs, we will follow. If he orders the assembly’s dissolution, we will comply,” said Gohar.
He emphasized that the vote belongs to the PTI founder, not them. “If he hadn’t been there, even my own family wouldn’t have voted for me,” he said.
Meanwhile, PTI leader Zartaj Gul, also speaking to the media at the judicial complex, claimed that on November 26, citizens who came to demand their rights were fired upon. She added that PTI workers are currently standing in anti-terrorism courts, whereas the cases should be filed against the PDM government.
Zartaj Gul also pointed out that while court holidays are approaching, the £190 million case is still not being scheduled. She criticized the Punjab Chief Minister, calling him a TikToker, and accused him of inflicting a loss of one trillion rupees on the province. She said the conduct of both the PPP and PML-N is deeply disappointing.
