Lahore: Senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Dr. Yasmin Rashid was urgently shifted from Kot Lakhpat Jail to Services Hospital due to a sudden decline in her health condition.
According to jail authorities, Dr. Rashid was experiencing severe breathing difficulties, which led to a critical situation requiring immediate medical attention. She was initially provided with oxygen in jail before being moved to the hospital. Sources reported that she also complained of stomach and abdominal pain, prompting doctors to recommend immediate hospitalization. At Services Hospital, multiple medical tests are being conducted, and specialists are closely monitoring her condition.
Dr. Yasmin Rashid, a former health minister and an active PTI leader, has been detained in Kot Lakhpat Jail for several months in connection with various cases. Her health concerns have surfaced previously as well, but the recent deterioration has reignited serious concern regarding her well-being.
It is worth noting that her health condition is a sensitive issue for PTI leadership and supporters, who have repeatedly demanded her release and access to proper medical facilities.
