Islamabad: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has launched the latest version of its Pak-ID mobile application, featuring a new Urdu menu and several additional features designed to streamline the ID registration process, making it faster, easier, and fully digital.
According to NADRA, the new version 5.0.0 is available for both citizens living in Pakistan and overseas Pakistanis. Key upgrades include a redesigned dashboard, improved search options, and a faster mechanism for ID card cancellation. The addition of an Urdu menu is designed particularly for users in rural areas to help them navigate the app more easily.
Highlighted features include real-time application tracking through the in-app inbox, online death registration in collaboration with Union Councils, biometric facial verification, access to family records, appointment booking at NADRA centers, and secure online fee payment for Smart NIC, CRC, and FRC services.
NADRA stated that users can now complete the entire registration process on their smartphones—from selecting the service, capturing live photos and fingerprints, uploading documents, and making digital payments to tracking the card delivery in real time.
For overseas Pakistanis, the app also offers online application and renewal of NICOP, with the card delivered directly to their foreign address.
According to NADRA, the updated app ensures faster performance, smoother navigation, and a completely paperless process. Citizens have been encouraged to download the new version to benefit from the latest features.
