Security forces killed seven India-sponsored militants during an intelligence-based operation in Daraban, Dera Ismail Khan. Major Sibtain Haider of the Pakistan Army was martyred during an intense exchange of fire.
According to ISPR, the operation was launched following confirmed intelligence regarding the presence of India-sponsored Khawarij terrorists. The security forces engaged in a fierce gun battle, resulting in the death of seven militants.
ISPR reported that Major Sibtain Haider was leading his troops with exceptional bravery when he embraced martyrdom. The killed militants were involved in terrorist attacks on security forces, law enforcement agencies, and the targeted killing of civilians.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in his statement, paid tribute to the Pakistan Army, saying that the nation is proud of its brave officers and soldiers who are defending the country day and night. He reiterated that the fight against terrorism will continue until its complete elimination and that the entire nation stands firmly alongside the armed forces.
The Prime Minister also paid homage to Major Sibtain Haider, praying for the elevation of his rank in the hereafter and patience for the bereaved family.
