The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has written a formal letter to Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi to receive the Asia Cup 2025 trophy. The Indian team had not collected the trophy after winning the final, prompting Naqvi to return it to the ACC office.
According to sources, the ACC responded to the BCCI’s letter, stating that if the Indian board wants the trophy, it must attend the official ceremony. The trophy presentation ceremony will be held on the evening of November 10 in Dubai.
The ACC chairman clarified that an Indian board representative, accompanied by a player, can receive the trophy at the event.
Sources added that the ACC has offered to hand over the trophy in the first week of November, with the ceremony scheduled to take place in Dubai. The final date will be confirmed soon.
It is worth noting that the Indian team did not collect the trophy after winning the Asia Cup 2025 final, leading to the trophy’s return to the ACC office.
