Peshawar: Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Information, Shafi Jan, has stated that the force formed for the release of the PTI founder will be dissolved once Imran Khan is released, and clarified that it is not a political wing.
Speaking on a private television program, Shafi Jan said that discussions are ongoing regarding the future protest strategy and that they intend to resume political activities after Ramadan. He added that various aspects are being considered to organize the protest movement more effectively.
He explained that the PTI founder release force will be established in the context of a street movement, and formal membership will be granted to those wishing to join, along with an oath-taking process. According to him, any individual can become part of the force provided they adhere to the prescribed rules and regulations.
Shafi Jan further stated that the force will not serve as a political wing of any party but will operate with a specific objective, and it will be disbanded following Imran Khan’s release. He also rejected claims of any backdoor contacts aimed at ending the protest.
It is worth noting that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Suhail Afridi had announced the formation of a force for the release of PTI founding chairman Imran Khan, prompting ongoing debate in political circles.
