Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called an important meeting today to discuss the national austerity policy in light of the current regional and global situation.
According to sources, the meeting will be held this afternoon at the Prime Minister’s House, where the overall administrative and economic situation of the country will be reviewed.
Chief ministers of all four provinces, the chief minister of Gilgit-Baltistan, and the prime minister of Azad Kashmir have also been invited to the meeting to ensure coordination between the federal and provincial governments.
Sources say the meeting is expected to approve the national austerity policy with consensus, while also discussing a joint strategy to provide relief to the public in the current economic situation.
Several proposals will also be discussed, including conducting official meetings through online platforms, introducing online classes in educational institutions, and considering work-from-home policies in offices.
