According to international news agencies, his residence in the capital was targeted, where a powerful blast led to his death at the scene, while fear and panic spread in the surrounding area after the incident.
The attack occurred at a time when coordinated assaults by militant groups were continuing in various parts of the country, including organizations linked to Al-Qaeda operating in West Africa, further complicating the already fragile security situation.
Officials stated that the recent attacks have generated serious concerns regarding national security, while security forces have been placed on high alert to respond effectively to any further threats.
