Muslim League-N Senator Asif Kirmani has expressed hope that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will return to Pakistan one and a half months before the elections.
Asif Kirmani, a Senator of Muslim League-N, stated that the party desires Nawaz Sharif to lead the PML-N in the upcoming elections, and he hopes that Sharif will return to the country one and a half months prior to the elections.
Asif Kirmani mentioned that Prime Minister had addressed any reservations raised by PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto. If there are any issues with the Senate’s consideration of the Protection of Senate Act, the concerned individuals should be removed, and if anyone objects to it, a new bill can also be introduced.
He further added that according to the Chairman of the Senate, the matters addressed in this bill are already present in the 1975 Act, and a few considerations have been modified.
It should be noted that the Federal Minister for Law and Justice, Nazeer Tarar, had stated during a press conference in London yesterday that all legal obstacles for Nawaz Sharif’s return have been removed. Consultations are underway, and Nawaz Sharif will lead the electoral campaign.
