Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that while he acknowledges inflation in the country, there are several reasons behind it. He mentioned that the fear of default kept him awake at night.
Speaking at a gathering in Qasoor, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif stated that the Nawaz Sharif-led CPEC project brought China closer, initiated the construction of the Motorway, withstood nuclear explosions despite global pressure, and propelled the nation on the path of progress.
The Prime Minister remarked that Nawaz Sharif, when given the opportunity, boosted industries. He resolved electricity issues, eliminated terrorism, promoted agriculture, built dams for electricity generation, and promised that they will soon return to the homeland to reshape the nation’s destiny.
Shahbaz Sharif said that one party has spoiled relations with China, chairman PTI has destroyed the country, promoted terrorism in the country, and damaged CPEC.
The Prime Minister noted that the previous government deteriorated Pakistan’s diplomatic relations, and during Nawaz Sharif’s tenure, relations with Islamic countries were strong. He mentioned the Panama case involving 400 individuals, yet they faced punishment, and despite that, they faced the courts courageously without fleeing the country. Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz went through 100 hearings.
Shahbaz Sharif mentioned distributing 500,000 laptops under Nawaz Sharif’s leadership. He clarified that this scheme was free from any favoritism or corruption, despite accusations that laptops were being distributed to win votes.
The Prime Minister admitted that he acknowledges inflation in the country, but there are various factors behind it. He shared that the fear of default kept him awake at night, and they worked tirelessly day and night. However, looking at the ocean of the public, he now feels the exhaustion of his 16-month journey. He announced analyzing the National Assembly on August 9th.
Earlier, while addressing the foundation stone ceremony of Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute University, the Prime Minister said that PKLI started its journey in 2015, PKLI was completed in 2018.
The Prime Minister praised Professor Saeed Akhtar’s dedication for PKLI, under whose leadership, liver transplantation was initiated in Pakistan. He highlighted that PKLI provides hope to patients and is established according to international standards, with doctors and staff offering exceptional services.
The Prime Minister said that 15 billion rupees have been collected in the trust fund for PKLI, the benefactors will also provide funds and medicines to the institution.
