Karachi Sindh Government has formed 5 committees to take action against schools while giving last 3 days to private schools to provide 10% freeship to students.
According to details, private schools have been given last 3 days to provide 10% freeship to students,In this regard, the Directorate of Inspection and Registration of Private Institutions Sindh has issued a notification.
The notification states that private schools are bound to provide free education to 10 percent of the total number of students, but many schools across Sindh, including Karachi, are not implementing the Act.
Private schools are not following the 10% freeship formula under the Education Act 2013 and Rule 13,On the instructions of Chief Minister Sindh, 5 committees have been formed to take action against private schools. The formed committees will visit private schools.
According to the notification, Additional Director Registration Rafia Javed herself will head an inspection team, in other 4 inspection teams, committees consisting of Director, Deputy Director have been formed.
The notification states that private schools will verify the record of the freeship scholarship grant along with verification,The committees will also submit their reports on a daily basis and the private schools will have to implement the 10% freeship formula in the next 3 days.
