Astronomers have announced that on the evening of October 23, a rare and stunning celestial alignment will be visible in the sky as the crescent moon, Mars, and Mercury appear in a straight line. This unique sight will be visible shortly after sunset in the southwestern sky.
According to the American website Space, the Moon will be only 6% illuminated and located about five degrees from the setting Sun. Mars and Mercury will appear close to each other, creating a rare and spectacular astronomical formation.
If the weather remains clear, viewers will be able to witness this event with the naked eye. However, using binoculars or a telescope will make the alignment appear even more vivid and striking, enhancing the viewing experience for stargazers.
Astronomers have advised the public to look toward the southwestern horizon immediately after sunset, as this alignment will only be visible for a short time.
