Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming the way the world works. Generative AI is no longer just replacing jobs; it is reshaping work patterns, required skills, and salary structures, ushering in a new era for the global workforce.
According to a report by Indeed Hiring Lab and Quartz Media, the study analyzed around 2,900 different skills. It found that 40% of skills remain safe, 19% involve collaboration between humans and AI, and 40% have already shifted to hybrid models. Only 1% of skills face the risk of full automation.
The technology sector has emerged as the most affected, with higher chances of hybrid and automated transformations compared to other fields. Experts believe this shift is not a threat but the beginning of a new era where humans and AI will work side by side.
They emphasize that AI now represents an opportunity rather than a danger, offering new professional avenues and remote work possibilities. Those who learn to adapt and work with this technology will become part of the most successful workforce of the future.
The study also revealed that employees with AI skills earn, on average, 28% more than others, an increase equivalent to about 18,000 US dollars annually. This advantage is not limited to tech alone but is also evident in marketing, finance, and HR sectors.
Experts highlight that human capabilities that cannot be automated, such as decision-making, creativity, and emotional intelligence, will hold the greatest importance in the future, surpassing even traditional coding or technical skills.
