The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for Karachi and across Sindh, warning that a new westerly weather system is likely to enter southwestern Balochistan today, bringing widespread weather changes.
According to the department, rainfall is expected from today until April 4 in Karachi, Jamshoro, Dadu, Larkana, Qambar Shahdadkot, Sukkur, Khairpur, Kashmore, Jacobabad, Matiari, Tharparkar, Umerkot, Badin, Thatta, Hyderabad, and other areas.
The forecast indicates thunderstorms with gusty winds across Sindh, with moderate to heavy rainfall and possible hailstorms in some locations.
The department warned that strong winds, hail, and lightning could damage electricity poles, solar panels, billboards, and standing crops, urging citizens to take precautionary measures.
For Karachi, light rain or drizzle is expected today, followed by thunderstorms tomorrow, while cloudy conditions with light rain or drizzle may continue on Friday.
