Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi arrived in Tehran for a second important visit within 24 hours, where he held key meetings with Iran’s top leadership.
According to reports, Mohsin Naqvi met Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian for the second time within a week, during which discussions were held on the ongoing Iran-US negotiations and the regional situation.
According to the Iranian news agency, President Pezeshkian expressed support for Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts aimed at promoting regional stability and cooperation.
Sources said that during the meetings, Mohsin Naqvi emphasized the importance of dialogue, mutual understanding, and diplomatic engagement.
During his visit to Tehran, the Pakistani interior minister also met Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni and Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps General Ahmad Vahidi.
It is worth mentioning that Mohsin Naqvi had also visited Iran five days ago, where he held meetings with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, President Masoud Pezeshkian, and other senior officials.
According to sources, after completing his previous visit, Naqvi had returned to Pakistan only 24 hours earlier before departing again for Tehran for further consultations.
Diplomatic sources stated that the meetings focused on Pakistan-Iran bilateral relations, the evolving regional situation, and tensions in the Middle East.
