In Interbank trading, there has been a slight decrease in the value of the US dollar against the Pakistani rupee. According to currency dealers, the dollar became 10 paisas cheaper in Interbank, bringing its rate down to Rs. 278.50. The previous day, the dollar had risen to Rs. 278.60 by the end of trading.
On the other hand, the stock market set a new record with a bullish trend on the last day of the trading week. At the beginning of trading, the stock exchange saw a surge, crossing the historic milestone of 80,000 points for the first time in the stock market’s history.
The trading day started with enthusiasm, and the KSE-100 index surpassed the psychological barrier of 80,000 points. The index recorded an increase of 1200 points, reaching a record level of 80,001 points after this gain.
According to economic experts, investor confidence has been restored due to the smooth budget preparation following IMF guidelines.
