Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) has rejected the Mines and Minerals Bill and submitted a motion of adjournment against it in the Senate.
JUI Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has demanded an explanation from party members who supported the bill, going against party policy.
According to JUI spokesperson Aslam Ghauri, the party rejects the Mines and Minerals Bill passed by the Balochistan Assembly and has formally submitted an adjournment motion in the Senate in opposition.
The spokesperson added that the support of some members for the bill in the Balochistan Assembly is a violation of party policy. Maulana Fazlur Rehman has taken notice of the matter and directed the provincial chapter to investigate and report to the central leadership as soon as possible.
