Lahore: Senior Pakistan Muslim League (N) leader Khawaja Saad Rafique has said that Imran Khan has damaged his own narrative and legal strategy to such an extent that no one appears willing to step forward and provide any assurance for his bail.
Speaking at an event held in Lahore, Saad Rafique stated that conflict, chaos, and continuous political confrontation can never lead the country toward development. According to him, Nawaz Sharif must now take a leading role to steer the country towards improvement, while Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s persistent efforts have saved Pakistan from the threat of economic collapse.
He further said that Imran Khan weakened his own case through various statements and decisions, the consequences of which are now visibly evident, and this is precisely why no individual is ready to support bail in his favour.
Meanwhile, Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar stated that the country desperately needs political consensus and a national dialogue in the current circumstances, as no nation can achieve progress without political and economic stability.
At the same time, Rana Sanaullah commented that the events of May 9 were carried out under a well-planned conspiracy, adding that political instability emerges when political parties refuse to engage in dialogue and negotiations.
