According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Finance on Sunday, the federal government has kept the price of petrol unchanged for the next 15 days, while approving a reduction of 3 rupees and 5 paisas per liter in the price of high-speed diesel.
The notification issued by the Ministry of Finance states that the price of petrol will remain 252 rupees and 10 paisas per liter, while after the reduction, the new price of high-speed diesel will be 255 rupees and 38 paisas per liter.
The notification further mentioned that the new price of light diesel, after a decrease of 2 rupees and 78 paisas per liter, will be 148 rupees and 95 paisas per liter.
According to the Ministry of Finance’s notification, the price of kerosene oil has been reduced by 3 rupees and 32 paisas per liter, making the new price 161 rupees and 66 paisas per liter. The new prices will come into effect from midnight on Sunday.
It is worth noting that earlier, officials had suggested that due to the uncertain situation in Syria following a change in government, there might be an increase in petrol prices and a reduction in diesel prices.
Media reports stated that if the situation in Syria stabilizes soon, there could be a decrease in petroleum product prices.
It is important to mention that on November 30, the federal government announced an increase in petroleum product prices. According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Finance, the price of petrol was raised by 3 rupees and 72 paisas, and the price of high-speed diesel increased by 3 rupees and 29 paisas.
