Big Relief Expected for Karachi’s Electricity Consumers, KE Proposes Reduction of 4.98 Rupees per Unit
Karachi’s electricity consumers are set to receive significant relief, as there is a possibility of a 4.98 rupee per unit reduction in electricity prices for KE (K-Electric) users.
K-Electric has submitted a request to NEPRA (National Electric Power Regulatory Authority) for the price reduction, citing the fuel charge adjustment (FCA) for the month of November.
If approved, Karachi’s consumers will benefit from a relief of over 7.17 billion rupees.
NEPRA will hold a hearing on K-Electric’s request on January 15.
