The verdict has been announced in the honey trap and abduction for ransom case involving renowned drama writer Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar.
The court sentenced the accused Aamna Urooj, Mamnoon Haider, and Zeeshan to seven years imprisonment each.
Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Arshad Javed delivered the verdict and acquitted the remaining accused in the case.
Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar was allegedly abducted for ransom by the accused on July 15.
A case was registered against the suspects on July 21 at Sundar Police Station under charges of abduction and terrorism. In August 2024, the trial began in the Anti-Terrorism Court with a total of 11 accused.
In the case, a total of 17 witnesses appeared before the court, including Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar, his friend, police personnel, and bank staff.
Only one accused in the Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar honey trap case was released on bail.
