Former women’s cricketer Sana Mir has said that Sahibzada Farhan is proving through his performance that he deserves a chance as an opener.
Speaking on a private sports channel program, Sana Mir highlighted Farhan’s explosive century against Peshawar Zalmi, stating that some innings become turning points in a player’s career—such innings help rebuild confidence. She expressed hope that this innings would be such a moment for Sahibzada Farhan.
She noted that while Farhan has delivered excellent performances in domestic cricket, some players struggle to fully showcase their abilities on bigger platforms. When allowed to represent Pakistan, Farhan was placed at number five in the batting order.
At that time, he was not given a proper batting position, but his recent innings demonstrate that he can perform exceptionally well if given the chance to open.
Sana Mir further added that performing on such a big stage greatly boosts a player’s confidence, and when that performance is delivered on an international-level platform, the impact becomes even greater.
