According to Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal, Pakistan-China bilateral cooperation will reach previously unheard-of heights with the second phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Details indicate that the minister traveled to Tianjin, China, to talk about potential new areas of cooperation between the two nations. He also examined the Huan Sheng New Energy Solar Plant while there.
Speaking at the event, Ahsan Iqbal emphasized that Pakistan’s livestock industry, ports, and renewable energy projects can all benefit greatly from CPEC Phase Two. He called the Huan Sheng Solar Plant a cutting-edge Fourth Industrial Revolution project and pointed out that Pakistan would gain from such cutting-edge energy projects as well.
The minister went on to say that Pakistan would like to collaborate with China to advance biotechnology in the agricultural sector. He emphasized that solar and green energy are the way of the future and said a specialized platform is being created to fully utilize China’s technology and experience. Additionally, he urged Chinese businesses to make investments in Pakistan.
Ahsan Iqbal visited a company that makes animal vaccines and extended an invitation to them to open a plant in Pakistan. He also emphasized that livestock is still a vital component of Pakistan’s agricultural economy and that one of the government’s main goals is to protect animals from illness to increase meat exports.
