The Pakistan women’s cricket team, led by captain Fatima Sana, has arrived in Colombo to participate in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025. The team will officially begin preparations tomorrow.
According to reports, the first training session will take place on September 25 at 2:00 PM local time. The team management has finalized a comprehensive training schedule, with special emphasis on fitness, fielding, and net practice to ensure the players are fully prepared for the mega event.
Before the tournament, Pakistan will play two warm-up matches. The first warm-up game is scheduled for September 25 against hosts Sri Lanka, while the second will be played on September 28 against South Africa.
In the league stage of the World Cup, Pakistan will open their campaign on October 2 against Bangladesh. The team will then face arch-rivals India on October 5. Pakistan’s third match will be against Australia on October 8, followed by England on October 15, New Zealand on October 18, South Africa on October 21, and their final league match against Sri Lanka on October 24.
