Pakistan’s Ministry of Information has stated that the statement issued by the Afghan Taliban government’s deputy spokesperson is a failed attempt to conceal their violent actions.
According to the ministry, the Afghan Taliban deliberately targeted civilian areas in Bajaur district, resulting in the martyrdom of four innocent civilians while a five-year-old child was seriously injured.
The statement added that operations carried out by Pakistan’s armed forces in Afghanistan are strictly limited to terrorist hideouts and are not directed at civilian populations.
The Ministry of Information further said that Pakistan does not rely on images and videos allegedly generated through artificial intelligence by the Afghan Taliban government. It also stated that the claims circulated through Taliban government channels are exposing them both domestically and internationally.
It is worth noting that four civilians were killed in Bajaur after cross-border shelling from Afghan Taliban forces targeted the area.
