Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has said that cross-border terrorism will be crushed with the full force of the state.
According to ISPR, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir visited the National Defence University and addressed graduating officers of the National Security and War Course.
Officers from all three armed services participated in the course. The Field Marshal highlighted the evolving nature of warfare and expressed confidence in the capabilities, high morale and operational readiness of the armed forces.
Addressing the participants, he said institutions such as the National Defence University are preparing future military and civilian leaders to counter hybrid threats.
The army chief said all attempts by proxy elements operating under the patronage of hostile agencies would fail and cross-border terrorism would be crushed with the full force of the state.
Field Marshal Asim Munir said Pakistan’s armed forces are fully aware of the activities of hostile intelligence agencies.
He said proxy elements would not be allowed to harm Pakistan’s peace and prosperity.
According to the Field Marshal, the armed forces, with the support of the nation, will ensure the elimination of proxy hideouts and facilitators of terrorists.
ISPR said the Field Marshal stressed that strategic foresight and institutional professionalism are essential to address complex strategic challenges.
He said wars are not won through rhetoric or political slogans but through faith, unity and discipline.
