In the Islamabad High Court, Justice Sardar Ejaz Ishaq Khan heard the contempt of court case for not meeting the founder of PTI in jail. The court said the founders would bring PTI and meet with their lawyers.
The Supreme Court during the hearing ordered the founders of PTI and they will meet with their lawyers, you are saying that the government can stop the process of delivery of justice with a notification?
The State Council replied that the court hearings were not taking place and were not called.
The court said that the petitioner is saying that the court order has been violated through a notification, I am not saying whether the notification is correct or not, for that they will have to file a separate petition.
Justice Sardar Ejaz Ishaq Khan said that the refusal to meet despite the court order is a violation of the court order, the Punjab government has insulted the court, if it has stopped, where is the notification?
The Punjab government submitted the notification to the court.
Justice Sardar Ejaz Ishaq said that this is a notification from 21 to 25. Show the previous one as well, report to the Ministry of Interior, and tell if there are security threats.
The State Council said that there is a notification till October 25.
Justice Sardar Ijaz Ishaq said that this notification was a violation of my orders, these are sisters, not lawyers, why were the lawyers not allowed to meet? Can the government seal a place by issuing a notification and prevent the dispensation of justice? Mr. AG, this is an insult to my orders, the Ministry of Interior will have to explain this, the rules are also there, why did the request come here? The Ministry of Interior had to come and tell us what was the security so that even the lawyers could not go. The Home Department issued orders on October 6 and 17, referring to the Home Ministry’s letter.
The Islamabad High Court has ordered an online meeting of lawyers with the PTI founder.
The Additional Attorney General objected to the court order and said that the court cannot pass such an order in a contempt of court case.
