Saudi Arabia has made a significant decision to construct rest areas at various locations in Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah to facilitate pilgrims during Hajj.
This initiative aims to provide better sitting and resting facilities for pilgrims amid intense heat and overcrowding during the pilgrimage.
Prince Saud bin Mishal, Deputy Governor of Makkah, was briefed on Hajj preparations, during which it was revealed that a 50,000 square meter area in Mina is being shaded for pedestrians to protect them from the heat.
Additionally, 60,000 square meters of shaded areas and mist fans are being installed at Jabal al-Rahmah to provide coolness and comfort to the pilgrims.
These measures are being taken in response to the difficulties faced by many pilgrims during the previous Hajj season due to extreme heat and heavy crowds.
