Preparations have been completed for the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) rally in Hyderabad, where Bilawal Bhutto will address the gathering.
According to details, the PPP will showcase its public strength in Hyderabad today, with Bilawal Bhutto and other senior leaders scheduled to speak at the rally.
Senior Minister Sharjeel Memon visited the venue late at night, where a 100-foot-long stage has been set up and more than 70,000 chairs have been arranged. Separate entry points have been designated for women.
PPP Sindh President Nisar Khuhro also visited the venue and briefed the media. Party workers held rallies across the city.
It is worth noting that on April 4, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto had demanded Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif withdraw the controversial canal project on the Indus River.
Speaking at a public rally on Friday in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh on the 46th death anniversary of former Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, he stated that if the people oppose these canals, his party will stand with the public, not with the government.
The PPP leader had said, “Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, this is not just our demand, but the people’s demand. If we are to stay united as brothers, this project must be withdrawn.”
