President of Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N), Mian Nawaz Sharif, directed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to address Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s concerns regarding the Madrassa Bill.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with party leader Nawaz Sharif at Jati Umra to discuss the country’s overall situation.
Nawaz Sharif congratulated the Prime Minister on improvements in the country’s economic situation, particularly achieving a new record in the stock exchange.
The Prime Minister briefed Nawaz Sharif on progress in foreign investment within the context of the SIFC (Special Investment Facilitation Council).
According to sources, the meeting also discussed the events of November 26 and the call for civil disobedience. It was agreed that those harming national security and unity would be held accountable.
Both leaders emphasized that no one would be allowed to obstruct the country’s path to development.
When Nawaz Sharif instructed resolving Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s concerns, Shehbaz Sharif assured that the JUI-F chief would be taken into confidence regarding the Madrassa Bill.
Sources revealed that there was agreement on consulting and taking coalition partners into confidence on national matters.
The Prime Minister also informed Nawaz Sharif about Saudi Arabia and other countries’ interest in investing in Pakistan. Both leaders paid tribute to security forces personnel who embraced martyrdom while fighting against militants.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister presented a report on his visit to Saudi Arabia to Nawaz Sharif.
Later, both leaders visited the graves of their parents at Jati Umra and offered prayers. While at Jati Umra, other party leaders also met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
