The Special Accountability Court has reserved the verdict after completing the trial of the £190 million reference against PTI founder Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi.
The hearing of the £190 million reference against former Prime Minister Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi was conducted at Adiala Jail by Judge Nasir Javed Rana. After the completion of the defense lawyer’s arguments, the decision was reserved.
The final trial hearing lasted approximately 8 hours and 15 minutes, during which former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi appeared in court. The £190 million reference charges were filed on February 27 last year, and the Accountability Court will announce its verdict on Monday, December 23.
It is noteworthy that a day earlier, the NAB lawyer completed their arguments in the £190 million reference.
The trial of the £190 million reference was completed within a year, during which NAB recorded the statements of 35 witnesses, and Imran Khan’s lawyers cross-examined them. Key witnesses in the £190 million reference, including former Principal Secretary Azam Khan, former Chief Minister Pervez Khattak, and former Federal Minister Zubaida Jalal, also recorded their statements.
