Peshawar: Former President of Pakistan Arif Alvi has stated that all military officers involved in politics should be investigated.
While speaking to the media in Peshawar, Arif Alvi said that our entire time is spent on matters like “catch him, catch him,” while negotiations are happening here, and the country’s time is being wasted.
Arif Alvi further said that if we are to have negotiations, we should end the cases, as the country is suffering billions in losses. He added that change is coming, and such actions will lead to global condemnation.
He mentioned that an investment of 70 billion was promised but is nowhere to be seen. He also stated that the country’s judiciary has been destroyed, and the arrest of Imran Khan has ruined the country. Smuggling continues, and every institution is making money.
The former president said that they are all the same. Imran Khan never said that they would all unite, but they are enjoying while the country is being destroyed.
Arif Alvi said that although Imran Khan’s name cannot be taken, there were many chants in his favor during the recent match. He added that the days of the current rulers are numbered, and it’s not too late to abandon the regime change, as change is coming soon.
He also stated that dead bodies are being hidden, and they are raising their voices for the rights of the missing persons. It is the government’s responsibility to investigate, but they are investigating us.
The former president stated that the oppressive system is changing, and Imran Khan will be released. He emphasized that investigations should be conducted against all military officers who participated in politics.
Arif Alvi also said that Imran Khan has called for negotiations, but they should be with the powerful people, not the government. He mentioned that they were being beaten and questioned.
He further explained that military courts were not active during Imran Khan’s tenure, and all of them have terrorism charges against them. He stated that the law was made for terrorists, not for them, and military courts were hearing cases before Imran Khan’s government, not during his tenure.
