The second round of negotiations between the government and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will begin today. PTI was unable to present its demands in written form.
The second and crucial round of negotiations between the government and PTI is set to take place on Thursday.
In this second round of negotiations, PTI’s negotiating committee will present its conditions and demands as a Charter of Demands. The list of demands for the second and important round seems to be the same one that was not accepted in the first session.
According to sources, a closed-door meeting chaired by the Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, will be held at Parliament House today at 3:30 PM.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur will participate in today’s negotiations. In the meeting, PTI will present its Charter of Demands.
According to party sources, PTI will raise the issue of the release of Imran Khan and other prisoners and demand a judicial commission to investigate the events of May 9 and November 26.
Sources indicate that the government will outline its course of action in light of the Charter of Demands.
