SARGODHA: The Sargodha Wildlife Squad successfully rescued a bear from illegal hunting near Chiniot.
According to wildlife officials, the bear has undergone a complete medical examination and rehabilitation process, and preparations are underway to transfer it to a safe sanctuary. The bear was recovered from the Silanwali area near Chiniot after being saved from illegal poaching.
The court has ordered the bear to be handed over to the Islamabad Wildlife Management Board. Senior Punjab Minister Maryam Aurangzeb praised the wildlife squad for their successful operation, emphasizing that the protection of biodiversity and ecological balance is essential. She stated that preserving natural resources and wildlife is crucial for maintaining environmental stability, and the government will continue taking all necessary measures.
Maryam Aurangzeb also directed authorities to intensify the crackdown against illegal hunting and animal smuggling.
